I haven't talked much about anything but Luke, but here's what is going on aside from Luke. James and I are now divorced. We seperated in May and the divorce was final at the end of September. I am living with my two sisters in Running Springs. My parents live down the street and my two brothers and their families live very close as well. I am still working for Cleo Design however I am working remotely from home. I need to work 30 hours per week to maintain my benefits. That is so much easier said than done. I feel like every free moment I have I am trying to work and I alwas have that "30 hours" hanging over my head. Sometimes I feel like I am missing Luke growing because I am so preoccoupied with trying to get work done. It seems that only time I can be really productive is late at night when Luke has gone to bed (which means no sleep for me). The other option is that someone else hold him and play with him during the day so that I can work, but then I am totally dependant on someone else to take care of him. I know that things will get easier when Luke becomes a little more independant, but I'm aftaid of missing his baby phase. It goes so fast, and I will never get it back.
I have to say how very grateful I am for my family. I couldn't have got through any of this without them. My parents have been at my side from the very beginning and I know that anyone in my family would drop anything to help me, and they have. A seperation, relocation, baby birth and divorce is a lot to handle within a few months and my family is what has kept me toghether emotionally, physically and financially. Anyone who knows them knows that they are the best.
It seems that something else always comes up for me to deal with, but I am confident that in a couple more months I should be in the clear and working towards putting my life back together again.
Here are some random pictures of Luke over the past few weeks.
Holding his bottle for the first time.
He looks like an Angel.
First thing in the morning.
Such a big boy!
