James and I found out back in December that we are having a baby!! We didn't even find out until I was 8 1/2 weeks along. I never got very sick, just a general "blah-yucky" feeling. It came as a shock but we are very excited. James started buying stuff pretty much right away. He got baby monitors, both audio and visual, baby bottles and a breast pump, and a pack and play. We are in the process of painting the extra room and getting things ready. He's not due till August 1, so we've got some time still.
And yes... it's a HE! We had the ultrasound on March 7. My mom and dad came up from California for it. The technician looked at every part of him and counted all of his fingers and toes. She measured his head and tummy. She said that he has long legs... definately not a Strebel trait, but James' dad was tall and athletic. That must be where it came from. We saw his heart and all four chambers healthy and pumping. We were all very grateful to see that he was so healthy and that everything looked good. James was so excited when she said it was a boy. Acutally, he saw "it" before she did, probably that's because that was what he was most interested in. James send out a mass-text right away that "he's got a wing-dinger!" Here's some pictures of him...Introducing James Beesley Jr....
I like this one of his little foot.
After the ultrasound we went to Target to pick out a couple of Baby Boy outfits.
When I got back to my office the next day my computer and desk were all decorated with Baby Boy items.
21 weeks along!!
My sister came through town this morning with a bag full of cute clothes.
Thanks Aunt Cindy!! She's the greatest, most generous person ever!
